The Shreveport Fire Department worked with youth during aseries of mentoring days during the summer months. The interactive program showedoff the skills and techniques used by emergency responders. SFD explained anddemonstrated how core values are used to save lives and property, whilebuilding character.

680 kids were enrolled in summer programs at ShreveportPublic Assembly & Recreation facilities in 2021.

The 2021 Future Leaders of Shreveport Summer InternshipProgram gave nearly 150 high school and college students the opportunity towork in city government and with area businesses.
